When you register for Private Lifeguard Certification through Euvori, the course is yours. You pick a date, time, and location. Use one of our partner facilities free of charge, or have us travel to you.
Great for those who want to get through course content faster or those who feel they may need additional help one-on-one with an instructor. Use by yourself, with a group of friends, or even as a means to offer in-house lifeguard training to employees.
Note: To ensure each participant has enough time to complete the Online Pre-Course, private courses must be created with at least 72 hours notice.

Course Overview
The training course has four distinct sections:
1. Online Pre-Course
Learn the fundamentals of our lifeguard training at home by completing the online learning modules. Participants must complete and pass all online learning modules before attending the in-person portion of the course. The online course takes roughly 7 hours to complete.
2. On-Land Section
The instructor will facilitate in-depth learning paired with hands-on practice in the following topics: the foundation of lifeguarding, bloodborne pathogens, reducing risks, basic first aid, basic life support, and emergency oxygen.
3. In-Water Section
To ensure each participant is comfortable enough in the water to participate in the in-water section of the course safely, the instructor will check to ensure each participant can perform the following initial screening tests without assistance:

Retrieve a 10-pound weight from the bottom of a 9-foot deep pool.

Tread water for one minute without the use of hands.

Swim 50 yards freestyle or breaststroke with the head up as if sighting a victim (without a rescue tube).

After checking off initial screening tests, the instructor will go over prevention and risk management, water rescue techniques at all depths and circumstances, spinal injury management, escapes, and back boarding.
4. Performance Evaluations and Final Exam
Each participant must demonstrate competence in the learned first aid and emergency response techniques by correctly administering simulated care in eleven performance evaluations:

Six land-based Performance Evaluations covering the Basic First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Basic Life Support sections of the course

Five water-based Performance Evaluations covering the Lifeguarding section of the course
At the end of the course, participants must pass the following exams with an 80% or higher:

StarGuard Lifeguard exam (50 questions)

ASHI Emergency Oxygen exam (10 questions)
